摘要: Infections due to Runyon group IV atypical mycobacteria, Mycobacterium fortuitum and chelonei, in humans have been difficult treat the past because of organisms' resistance all conventional antimycobacterial drugs. Determinations minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) by agar dilution method suggest that amikacin may be useful treatment infections M. chelonei. Further support for efficacy antimicrobial agents with good vitro activity chelonei will depend on correlation future clinical experience standardized data MICs these organisms.
