Electrophotographic charging and discharging experiments with zinc oxide single crystals

摘要: Charging experiments have been performed with pure and lithium-doped zine oxide single crystals under a negatively or positively operating corona. While negative charging caused surface voltage of about —45 V zinc —350 Li2O doped crystals, positive supplied voltages only few volts for both types rapid dark-decay. The small difference between the stationary currents during undoped same geometrical size conditions was particularly notable. darkdecay crystal is much faster than corresponding decay crystal. After 10 dark period, however, exhibited —25 V. light-decay an comparable to that oxide-resin layers. curves however were characterized by unexpected course. During discharge these potential at first became more before expected light occurred. Aufladungsversuche reinen und mit dotierten Zinkoxid-Einkristallen ergaben bei einer negativ arbeitenden Corona-Entladung in Luft von 1 atm eine Oberflachenspannung bzw. Im Gegensatz hierzu konnte nennenswerte Aufladung der (0001)-Flache des Kristalls nicht beobachtet werden, im Einklang anderen Messungen steht. Der Dunkelabfall Oberflachenpotentials war am Kristall wesentlich rascher als Kristall. Nach etwa 10s hatten beide Kristallsorten jedoch unabhangig ihrer Ausgangsspannung noch Die Lichtentladung einem ZnO-Kristall vergleichbar Zinkoxid-Siliconharzschicht. zeigte zu Beginn Belichtung Zunahme negativen Oberflachenspannung, die dann nach Durchlaufen eines Maximums ublichen Weise rasch abnahm.
