摘要: Filler-related characteristic such as particle size, shape and geometry are essential factors that need to be considered during the evaluation of material’s performance especially in area filled composites. However, there is limited number works reported on this particular issue under high strain rate condition. Based concern, paper presents an experimental results effect sizes towards sensitivity dynamic compressive properties polypropylene/silica nanocomposites across from 10-2 10-3 s-1. The composite specimens were tested using universal testing machine for static loading a compression split Hopkinson pressure bar apparatus loading. Results show that, stiffness strength affected by size silica particles. magnitudes changed somehow different between micro nanosizes. On other hand, also plays major contribution where smaller reinforcement sizes, less sensitive would Overall, it convenience say gives significant mechanical nanocomposites.
