摘要: Adhesion often occurs after surgery, especially in abdominal, gynecological, and thoracic surgeries. It can cause serious postsurgical complications such as infertility, chronic pelvic pain, difficulties of extensive adhesiolysis future surgery. Antiadhesive barriers have been developed to provide physical separation between the injured site adjacent tissues. Since is only required during critical time wound healing damaged area, bioabsorbable polymers found be appropriate. A range adhesion are commercially available forms solutions, gels, sheets. Their characteristics limitations discussed this chapter. Recent investigations also described on newly devices that show promising performance ease handling more effective reduction adhesion.
