摘要: BACKGROUND: Planimetry is a method used to evaluate the progression of skin wound healing. Computerized planimetry still an experimental method, but its advantages have been demonstrated in several investigations. OBJECTIVE: To effects low-intensity pulsed ultrasound on healing lesion produced dorsal region rats, by means computerized planimetry. METHODS: Sixty male Wistar rats mean weight 300g were used. They divided into two groups according treatment applied: 1) simulated irradiation (control); 2) effective (fundamental frequency 1.5MHz, pulse repetition 1KHz, width 200µs, SATA intensity 30mW/cm2 and application for ten minutes alternate days). Each group was three subgroups length time which applied three, seven 14 days, respectively, evaluated planimetry; tracing obtained special paper this digitized measured graphing software. Statistical analysis performed using Mann-Whitney non-parametric method. RESULTS: The healed area significantly greater (p<0.05) 2 (141.88±18.50mm2) than 1 (117.38±15.14mm2) 14th day. There no significant differences between other periods. CONCLUSIONS: Low-intensity stimulated secondary under these conditions. shown be low cost that easy use present clinical applicability.
