摘要: The synergy cultural heritage has been a tradition that is developed during the last decades. Once realized its importance, most European countries made public good. Different cultural practices have used by to market their nation or cities. This research will focus on one specific part of appreciation heritage, UNESCO World Heritage status. If site included Heritage List it can be attract investors and investments but also improve image city. There are well known sites who succeeded significantly in using this status for own benefits – Machu Picchu and Acropolis and others still struggling with exploitation such brand. Within framework, this research tried carry out comprehensive study investigate what extend World Heritage capital city Curacao Willemstad had any affects tourism on Curacao. Mixed methods were awareness among tourists, different categories involved stakeholders interviewed. goal was see how tourists and different perceive City Willemstad. It concluded the knowledge about very low, when they do know they not triggered explore special feature so far did generate extra (economic) island. On other hand, all aware of uniqueness fail exploit it. Some limitations pointed and recommendations future research made.
