摘要: Aim or objective The of this systematic review was to evaluate the evidence regarding rest and active treatment/rehabilitation following sport-related concussion (SRC). Design Systematic review. Data sources MEDLINE (OVID), CINAHL (EbscoHost), PsycInfo Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials SPORTDiscus EMBASE (OVID) Proquest DissertationsandTheses Global (Proquest) were searched systematically. Eligibility criteria for selecting studies Studies included if they met criteria: (1) original research; (2) reported SRC as diagnosis; (3) evaluated effect treatment/rehabilitation. Review articles excluded. Results Twenty-eight inclusion (9 effects 19 evaluating treatment). methodological quality literature limited; only five randomised controlled trials (RCTs) eligibility criteria. Those RCTs rest, cervical vestibular rehabilitation, subsymptom threshold aerobic exercise multifaceted collaborative care. Summary/conclusions A brief period (24-48 hours) cognitive physical is appropriate most patients. Following this, patients should be encouraged gradually increase activity. exact amount duration are not yet well defined require further investigation. data support interventions including rehabilitation Closely monitored threshold, submaximal may benefit. registration PROSPERO 2016:CRD42016039570.
