摘要: Objective: To observe whether there exists a characteristic body fat mass at pubertal onset. Design: Longitudinal clinical follow-up (between ages of 10 and 15 y) with an annual visit in sample 469 children. They were grouped according to age purbertal onset: boys onset the 11 (n=59), 12 (n=88), 13 n=89) 14 y (n=46), girls (n=68), (n=66), (n=37) (n=16). Methods: Height, weight, upper arm circumference four skinfold thicknesses recorded annually. In testicular volume index was measured, genital development assessed on Tanner scale; mammary measured also using scale. The sum skinfolds, index, estimate percentage calculated. Results: Boys presented positive relation between (P<0.001), which not observed girls. Body thus varied puberty but did differ either (P=NS) or (P=NS). adiposity is progressively acquired during previous years all groups. Conclusions: Puberty seems begin subcutaneous that independent This study supports hypothesis close link maturation energy store form adipose tissue both sexes.
