摘要: Two genes, APT1 and APT2, with DNA sequences that exhibit significant sequence identity to yeast fungal H+/orthophosphate co-transporters, have been isolated from Arabidopsis thaliana. These genes are genetically linked map chromosome 5 between markers g4028 m435. The encode almost identical 524 amino acid polypeptides predicted contain 12 membrane-spanning domains. Both APT2 predominantly expressed in A. thaliana root tissues. level of expression both roots is regulated by the phosphorus status plant, being considerably enhanced when plants were deprived an external phosphate supply. likely be associated membrane transport within roots.
