Relationships between flow and NMR relaxation of fluids in porous solids.

摘要: Abstract Measurements are presented which correlate the displacements, X(Δ), determined by PGSE NMR, with multi-mode transverse 1 H NMR relaxation of water flowing through a glass bead pack, for dominant mechanism is diffusion inhomogeneous internal magnetic fields. Analytical solution joint amplitude A{X(Δ), T 2k } case laminar flow in circular pipe, diffusion-to-surface mechanism, shows that, other than lowest mode (k = 0), contributions to observed given X(Δ) may involve negative as well positive amplitudes. The experimental measurements shown agree this general conclusion, showing clear evidence presence modes at larger values X(Δ). It that these, or similar measurements, provide spatially-resolved view surface-mediated relaxation, allowance must be made fitting both and
