摘要: An electromagnetic method of exciting torsional resonance vibrations is described. For some alloys aluminium, notably binary containing 5% and 11% magnesium, vibrational strains sufficient magnitude to cause fatigue cracks can be developed by this at frequencies the order one kilocycle per second. During vibration, measurements are made damping capacity specimens provide information concerning strain hardening energy conversion within up time when failure occurs fatigue. Fatigue two magnesium shown preceded hardening. The endurance individual related amount irreversible imposed cycle, occurring cumulative internal approaches a limiting value.
