摘要: Abstract This study was carried out on 26 unilateral cleft lip and palate (UCLP) cases with mean age 3.6 ± 0.7 months.3D facial images were captured for each infant 2–3 days before the repair of at 4 months following surgery a 8.2 ± 1.8 months, using stereophotogrammetry imaging system. An iterative closest point (ICP) algorithm used to superimpose 3D model its mirror image VRMesh software. After superimposition, face divided into seven anatomical regions. Asymmetry entire regions calculated by measuring absolute distances between surface image. Colour maps illustrate patterns magnitude asymmetry after surgery. There significant decreases in scores nose, upper cheeks as result surgical lips. Surgery did not change lower chin. Residual nasolabial asymmetries detected. The main outcome findings this innovative is inform required refinement primary order minimise asymmetry. We have presented sensitive tool that could be comparative analysis various centres guide secondary corrective when required.
