摘要: Summary The amount of change in quality sleep (QOS), as measured by a 100-mm visual analog scale (VAS), that constitutes minimum clinically significant difference was determined. A total 428 patients with insomnia aged 55 years and older received placebo (2 weeks), prolonged release melatonin 2 mg (3 weeks) then (2 weeks). Sleep assessed the end each period using Leeds Evaluation Questionnaire (LSEQ) QOS variable five-point severity-rating scale. The mean between current preceding VAS scores improving or worsening 1 point 13 mm (95% CI 11–16). Correlation analysis indicated associated 10.3 mm on VAS. In conclusion, 10 mm LSEQ, signifies an important patients’ quality.
