Gene-Delivery Systems Using Cationic Polymers

摘要: Gene therapy will benefit a range of diseases from single-gene defects, to chronic such as cancer, vaccination. Initially, gene used viral vectors, but the advantages nonviral systems are now being fully appreciated. This review focuses on cationic polymers delivery system for DNA. The physicochemical characterization DNA polycation complexes that condense and protect nuclease digestion considered, together with further factors ligand targeting, endosomal escape, nuclear localization. Where possible, relative efficacy different polymer is compared.
