摘要: Abstract : This paper examines chaos and complexity theory two aspects of the "new science" that has sought to push beyond Newtonian scientific paradigm continues define core Western inquiry. Whereas is concerned with deterministic mechanics, linear causality, reductionism, advancements in computers computational mathematics. particularly over past 20 or 30 years, have provided new tools for study non-linear dynamic processes. The science postulates structure rules lie buried within nonlinear processes been largely unaccounted by concepts. Although still open some significant challenges, represents potential a more profound "paradigm shift" world view than Alvin Heidi Toffler's popularized formulation deterministic, technology-driven, historically simplistic "Third Wave" shift from an industrial information age.
