摘要: The concept of sustainable management encompasses ecological, economic, and social criteria indicators (C&I) for monitoring assessing the association between maintaining a healthy rangeland base sustaining well-being communities economies. During series meetings from 2001 to 2003, Sustainable Rangelands Roundtable (SRR) developed five 64 management. SRR is collaborative, inclusive organization, comprised participants representing universities, federal research agencies, federal, state local land tribal governments, scientific societies, both environmental commodity-oriented non-governmental organizations. To achieve its goal, dealt with multiple issues, including those scale definitions. Delphi technique was employed maintain participant involvement help reach consensus about topics pertaining SRR's mission various being considered. We used six-point framework develop standardize reporting upon them. One factors affecting indicator consideration potential obtaining data. record attributes data sets in way that allows summarizations comparisons, devised matrix considered kind data, grain extent, applicable spatial temporal scales, aspects quality. coordinated other C&I programs developing suite indicators. Applications challenges employing are discussed.
