摘要: Background: The role of uric acid is well known for the development nephropathy and retinopathy in diabetic patients. aim this study was to evaluate serum levels patients with or without neuropathy (DPN). Methods: Forty-two DPN (case group) 42 (control matched regard age, gender, body mass index (BMI) duration their disease were entered into study. diagnosis based on nerve conduction studies sural, peroneal tibial nerves lower limbs. Serum measured these two groups. Results: mean age case group 54.6±6.9 control 55.8±5.8 years (p=0.389). demographic characteristics groups equal, but only history foot ulcer higher (p<0.05). 4.70±0.96 4.36±0.89 mg/dl (p=0.019). Conclusion: results show level neuropathy. Further are required determine progression DPN.
