摘要: Extensive dextral strike-slip faults parallel the north-trending coast line throughout most of northern Chile. A conjugate sinistral set strikes east to northeast and is particularly evident north of Iquique. Here system rotates, so that trend northwest Peruvian coast. Evidence of Recent activity decreases markedly inland.
