摘要: On the basis of factor analyses, critics have claimed that Death Anxiety Scale (DAS) is multi-dimensional. Heretofore, all analyses involved extraction principal components, and employed orthogonal rotation procedures, precluding possibility a general factor. In present study, 105 participants completed DAS Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). The was factored using Big Jiffy analysis computer program, which allows for higher-order factors. A factor, accounting 29 percent extracted variance, found. First-order factors were also important in solution. pattern MMPI-DAS correlations further indicated confounding greatly influences conclusions drawn about nature death anxiety.
