摘要: Macrophages represent a highly diverse population of “phagocytic monocytes,” capable effecting number important biological functions. The ubiquitous nature macrophages as network circulating and fixed scavengers within the tissues, combined with their complex phagocytic detoxifying abilities, subserve role primary host surveillance system. One major function is to protect from harmful infectious agents, particularly in early phases infection, prior establishment specific immune response. To this end, differentiated or “activated” (Mackaness, 1969) are killing intracellular parasites tumor cells. In addition ability deal directly invading microorganisms, macrophage has been shown be source “monokines” (substances synthesized by macrophages) such lymphocyte-activating factor, prostaglandins, certain complement components, each which modulates Moreover, have clearly implicated an essential accessory cell antigen-specific responses, some cases may act suppress both humoral cellular
