Synthesis of homogeneous sphere-like Bi2WO6 nanostructure by silica protected calcination with high visible-light-driven photocatalytic activity under direct sunlight

摘要: The homogeneous sphere-like morphology of bismuth tungstate (Bi2WO6) was synthesized by silica protected calcination using a facile hydrothermal method followed etching. flower-like Bi2WO6 structure without protection. SEM and TEM analysis the samples at different reaction times reveals that growth in situ formed nanoplates controlled protection which leads to formation structures Bi2WO6. retained up 1 h etching period with complete removal layer. Subsequently, both flower were used as photocatalysts for degradation reactive black 5 (RB5) dye under direct sunlight irradiation. Sphere-like exhibited excellent visible-light-driven photocatalytic efficiencies RB5 within 3 compared (45%, h) structure. enhancement activity confirmed kinetic studies, chemical oxygen demand, total organic carbon inorganic analysis.
