摘要: Although college gay and bisexual men report elevated rates of sexual victimization, their accounts have received less scholarly attention. This article examines 18 gay, bisexual, questioning (GBQ) men's narratives about experiences unwanted sex in college. Our findings suggest that are motivated to while trying navigate ambiguous scripts amid male power dynamics, inexperience, ubiquitous heteronormativity homophobia. Due defined and/or sometimes overlaid a heterosexual script onto encounters, resulting an expectation the 'top' should orgasm. The stigma being (or its potential) also entered into interactions, pushing people secrecy, remote locations, or with closeted who use force threats obtain sex. Together, these gendered homophobic social pressures combine leave GBQ grappling double bind. As part this bind, feel pressure order perform properly as man—and specifically man.
