摘要: Osteoarthritis (OA), one of the most common diseases among elderly, is characterized by progressive destruction joint tissues. Its etiology largely unclear and no effective disease-modifying treatment currently available. Metabolic fingerprinting provides a novel tool for identification biomarkers. A metabolic fingerprint consists typical combination metabolites in biological fluid identified 1H NMR spectroscopy multivariate data analysis (MVDA). The current feasibility study was aimed at identifying OA applying this nutritional intervention study. Urine samples were collected from osteoarthritic male Hartley guinea pigs (n = 44) 10 12 mo age, treated 4 onward with variable vitamin C doses (2.5-3, 30 150 mg/d) healthy Strain 13 8) mg C/d. measurements performed on all urine samples. Subsequently, MVDA carried out obtained using NMR.
