摘要: Groundwater is a life-sustaining resource catering the daily water requirements of mankind, aids in industrial development, influences agricultural activity, and maintains ecological balance. The present study was carried out Karha river basin, Maharashtra State, having an area 1314.98 km2. In hydro-geological research, for exploration groundwater resources, integration remote sensing data GIS plays remarkable role monitoring, assessing, conserving resources management development. A total ten thematic layers such as geomorphology, geology, land use/land cover, drainage density, slope angle, lineament rainfall distribution map, curvature, topographical wetness index, soil map were integrated into platform, using spatial analyst tool Arc 10.0 to delineate Ground Water Potential Zones basin area. analytical hierarchy process (AHP) technique used determine weighted value each parameter their sub-parameters, based on relative importance influencing factors recharge. final potential zonation categorized four classes namely, poor, moderate, good, excellent zones. western part particularly Ghorawadi, Garade, Saswad regions, have been identified zones exploration. result has shown about 21.96% (285.43 km2) 28.82% (374.49 km2) falls under “excellent” “good” zone, respectively, whereas 10.81% (140.46 km2) poor zone.
