Schema Evolution in Object and Process-Aware Information Systems: Issues and Challenges

摘要: Enabling process flexibility is crucial for any process-aware information system (PAIS). In particular, implemented processes may have to be frequently adapted accommodate changing environments and evolving needs. When a PAIS, corresponding schemas changed in controlled manner. the context of object-aware processes, which are characterized by tight integration data, PAIS evolution not only requires schema evolution, but data user authorization as well. Since different an tightly integrated, modifying one them usually concomitant changes other schemas. This paper presents framework support discusses major requirements challenges enabling PAIS.
