摘要: Certain properties of four strains reticuloendotheliosis virus (REV), namely REV-F, REV-S, REV-C and chick syncytial (CSV) were studied in vivo vitro. In chicken embryo fibroblast (CEF) cultures these viruses caused a chronic infection which could be detected by indirect immunofluorescence (FA) tests. Precipitating antigens present infected cultured cells as well culture supernatants. Antibodies sera REV-inoculated chickens demonstrated FA tests agar gel precipitin (AGP) No antigenic differences between the reference either method. The immune response was shown to sensitive indicator REV infection. AGP proved suitable provided that serum samples taken not later than 3 weeks after inoculation, since antibody titres decreased afterwards. Infectivity apathogenic strain same CEF assayed this immunogenicity unaffected presence HVT. humoral HVT, however, drastically reduced if inoculum. These results suggest even minor contaminations with can markedly reduce efficacy Marek's disease vaccines, such effectively controlled using chickens.
