摘要: Field foot patrols effectiveness for wildlife protection in a large vegetal mosaic Kafue National Park (22,400 km2) was assessed two successive periods of different duration. The relationship between patrol days spent the field by teams and resultant outcomes determined. Using trained scout teams, data recorded on prescribed forms. Prosecution populated into database analysed their spatial coverage. Study findings showed that 2 to 8 day were more effective than protracted patrols.
