Trends in the Prevalence, Awareness, Treatment, and Control of Hypertension in Nepal between 2000 and 2025: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

摘要: Background Understanding the burden and trend of hypertension associated care cascade can provide direction to development interventions preventing controlling hypertension. This study aimed assess prevalence trends its awareness, treatment, control in Nepal. Methods We systematically searched CINAHL, Embase, ProQuest, PubMed, Web Science, WorldCat, government health agency-owned websites identify studies reporting hypertension, Nepal between 2000 2020. applied random-effects model compute pooled overall population among subgroups each 5-year interval period used linear meta-regression analysis predict from 2025. Results identified 23 having a total 84,006 participants. The for 2016-2020 was 32% (95% CI: 23-40%), 50% 30-69%), 27% 19-34%), 38% 28-48%), respectively. varied by age, gender, education, geographical area. Hypertension increased 6 percentage points (pp), awareness 12 pp, treatment 11 3 pp over 20 years studied. Since 2000, rate increment has been 3.5 per decade, where 44.7% men are expected suffer Conclusion markedly relatively poor progress suggest that there is need preventive approaches as well strategies optimize cascade.
