Performance evaluation of diesel engines (PEDE) for a diesel-biodiesel fueled CI engine using nano-particles additive

摘要: Abstract Today’s researchers have made concerted efforts to benefit from biodiesel and achieve better combustion due its higher cetane number in comparison that of diesel. The major drawback utilizing biodiesel-diesel blend is the corresponding increase NOx emission, which can be solved using water. However, water results HC CO emissions handled by addition metal-based nano-particles such as cerium oxide (CeO2). In this study, 36 different cases these input parameters (different values biodiesel, water, nano-particles) been examined experimentally, are used train an artificial neural network (ANN) model produce 8866 data. Then, data were utilized find maximum brake thermal efficiency while value output specification fuel consumption minimum. regard, a new parameter called performance evaluation diesel engine (PEDE) was introduced decrease into one. sensitivity analysis on PEDE indicated share newly defined not same, it demands modifications. Therefore, exponents each modified application analysis. Finally, predict engines properly introduced, optimum presented. Results best occurs when amount 80 ppm, shares 6 percent.
