摘要: We describe the specificity and sensitivity of measuring a combination basic CSF variables Borrelia burgdorferi (Bb)-specific IgG IgM antibody index (AI) values for diagnosis early neuroborreliosis. Basic included total cell count, quantitation activated B cells (IgG, IgA, classes), CSF/serum quotient diagrams IgG, (to quantitate brain-derived immunoglobulin fractions in CSF), albumin ratio as measure blood-CSF barrier function. The Bb-specific component immunoglobulins serum was quantitated by ELISA. Results are based on data from 24 patients with definite neuroborreliosis, 45 other neurologic diseases, 28 control individuals. Combined evidence an elevated IgM-class dominance both cellular intrathecal humoral immune response, dysfunction yielded 70% diagnostic 98% detection Intrathecal production IgM, evaluated (Bb-IgM-AI; pathologic value > 1.4) showed 79% 96% specificity. Correspondingly, (Bb-IgG-AI; displayed 63% 89% analysis AI gave highest (80%) (98%). Analysis over disease course that acute versus past could be discriminated AI.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
