摘要: The myocardial blood flow regulation in coronary artery disease has been a matter of controversy for long time. In the past, much literature focused on characterization stenoses which were considered major determinant perfusion abnormalities observed such disorder. However, it is now well recognized that hydraulics epicardial obstruction can not be solely responsible all phenomena are these patients. fact, several recent studies demonstrated atherosclerosis induces more complex changes vascular physiology, leading to microvascular dysfunction (and reduced vasodilating capability) even regions supplied by angiographically normal vessels [1 3]. Although exact mechanisms puzzling findings have fully elucidated, authors suggested regulating could than previously thought and might produce profound alterations smooth muscle endothelial function both large arteries microvasculature, absence significant lumen reduction [4 6].
