摘要: At the start of a rowing race, boat is accelerated and force on oars reaches between 1000 1500 N. During speed maintained at lower level with peak 500-700 N for 210-230 strokes about 6.5 min. Rowers are adapted to this effort by large muscle mass high metabolic capacities. The muscles successful rowers demonstrate 70%-85% slow-twitch fibers. Both slow- fast-twitch fibers have increased oxidative enzyme activities reflecting elevated number density mitochondria. Rowing velocity correlate maximal oxygen uptake (VO2) which 6.0-6.61.min-1 (65-70 ml.min-1. kg-1) VO2 during race. In turn, race related content muscles, also aerobic-anaerobic threshold (AAT) inversely blood lactate level. AAT 80%-85% performance in highly trained rowers. training intensity 70% -90% time below AAT. Training eliciting above 4.0 mmol/l, sprint athletics complete schedule, may reach h, or 5000-7000 km per year.
