摘要: Form A' of n-pentadecanoic acid, C14H~gCOOH, is triclinic with a = 4.25 A, b 5.01 c 42.76 A.; 89 ° 50', fl -111 5', y 112 10'. The cell contains two molecules. crystal shows no piezo-electric effect, indicating space group C~-P1. Fourier projections along the shortest axis were prepared. packing hydrocarbon chains triclinic, all chain-planes being parallel. planes are slightly twisted helically.
