摘要: Nanocrystalline diamond (NCD) films and nanoparticulate powder (DP) are the two main representatives of at nanoscale. This study was designed to investigate suitability these biomaterials as cell growth supports determine surface characteristic properties best suited attachment proliferation. Surface topography, chemical termination wetting NCD- DP-coated borosilicate glass substrates were correlated attachment, proliferation differentially regulated gene expression human renal epithelial cells (HK-2 line) cultured on surfaces. Hydrogen-terminated NCD (NCD-H) surfaces shown inhibit which indicates that lack functional polar groups prevents adherent from settling a surface, whether nanostructured or not. In contrast NCD-H, oxygen-terminated (NCD-O) well DP demonstrated improved compared glass, is commonly used material for supports. NCD-O not only revealed an increased but also markedly rate. Finally, none investigated modifications appeared cause adverse cellular reactions alter phenotype.
