摘要: This article explores implications of the Nepal Power Development Project (NPDP), a scheme funded by consortium multilateral donors, including World Bank and Government Nepal, to promote grid-connected hydroelectricity, off-grid microhydro energy, transmission distribution upgrades. After explaining its methods data collection – namely research interviews, field research, literature review specific components NPDP as well progress date. The most successful part project focused on Microhydro Village Electrification distributed more than 250 units 50,000 households in less ten years. then delves into delivered benefits before identifying series technical, economic, political, social challenges. It concludes highlighting how community involvement mobilization, institutional diversity, reliance simple technologies matched proper scale energy end-uses, maintenance after sales service, flexibility, restructuring can enhance effectiveness development programs.
