摘要: A demonstration of the degradation food coloring dyes by oxidation via Fenton reaction can be substituted with a simpler using oxidant oxone iron(II) ions as an activator. The addition small amounts solid and sulfate to solutions containing mixtures results in successive within minutes, also showing kinetic separation color. Because different colors degrade at rates, changes color during observed for various dye mixtures. Catalyst-like behavior is demonstrated; absence transition metal such iron activate oxone, negligible time frame demonstration. presents opportunity introduce topics structural characteristics organic chromophores, catalyst-like metal, practical importance chemical kinetics, challenges inv...
