摘要: Objective To identify which therapeutic intervention may be most effective for improving self-reported function in patients with chronic ankle instability (CAI). Design Systematic literature review. Articles were appraised using the Downs and Black Checklist by 3 reviewers. Data sources PubMed along CINAHL, MEDLINE SPORTDiscus within EBSCOhost pertinent articles from their inception through August 2016. Eligibility criteria selected studies included required to (1) written English, (2) report adequate data calculate effect sizes, (3) CAI, (4) use some form of (5) a questionnaire as main outcome measurement. Results A broad spectrum interventions identified related balance training, multimodal rehabilitation, joint mobilisation, resistive soft-tissue passive calf stretching orthotics. All training category had moderate-to-strong Hedges g none 95% CIs crossing 0. sizes ranged −0.67 −2.31 −0.51 −1.43 activities daily living physical activity, respectively. The rehabilitation also produced but large −0.47 −9.29 −0.62 −24.29 Conclusions findings this systematic review provided consistent improvements CAI.
