摘要: Summary Objective To evaluate new instructional methods for teaching high school students cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) knowledge, actions skills. Methods We conducted a cluster-controlled trial of 3 interventions among Seattle area students, with random allocation based on classrooms, during 2003–04. examined two methods: [1] interactive-computer training [2] plus instructor-led (hands-on) practice, compared them traditional classroom instruction that included video, teacher demonstration control group. assessed CPR AED performance key actions, essential ventilation compressions skills 2 days months after training. All outcomes were transformed to scale 0–100%. Results For all outcome measures mean scores higher in the groups than Two had knowledge above 75%, use computer program 80%. Mean 80% training, hands-on practice enhancing students’ positive pad placement. Students who received more successfully performed those only In ranged from 57 74%; they 32 54% continuing until was available high, 89 100% groups. skill low The highest score successful ventilations 15% compressions, 29%. pattern results similar months. Conclusions found evidence interactive self alone sufficient teach students. forms highly effective use. contrast skills, remains set difficult psychomotor is challenging as well other members lay public.
