摘要: In evaluating the applicability of hydrogen fueling to agricultural internal combustion engines, an LP (liquid propane)-gas industrial engine was adapted for operation on either or LP-gas in order compare two fuels. The altered allow without backfiring. Performance and cylinder pressures were evaluated under various conditions, effect performance water induction controlling backfiring studied. Quality governing provided adequate means power except during idling. Backfiring became a problem fuel-air mixtures greater than 50% stoichiometry. Mixing with charge at rate 4 kg/kg had no adverse effects fuel efficiency. Hydrogen resulted higher brake thermal efficiencies similar part-load levels, varying from 35% lean hydrogen-air 5% maximum levels hydrogen. naturally aspirated will supply only 85% as much LP-gas. produced speeds 400 rpm faster is rapid, resulting very rapid rise pressure. best application production agriculture appears be irrigation pumping.
