摘要: The structure and adsorption environment of water (D2O) on Pt(111) are investigated using infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy. sample was prepared by the heat quench technique at a heating temperature between 25 165 K. At K, adsorbed molecules exist as monomers dimers, where latter is evidenced for first time. Upon annealing to 40 dimers dissociate cluster into bilayer ice terrace. 105 liquidlike phase formed step. frozen in quenching surface K reveals itself measured measurements amorphous ice. Until 125 terrace step coexist. 155 melts remaining converted These phenomena behavior coadsorbed CO spectator molecule.
