摘要: The objective of this dissertation is to investigate the effect sibling structure on women’s and men’s socialization achievement outcomes in three areas: housework performance, education, occupation. Data from China United States are used for analyses. findings indicate that largely depends cultural structural contexts each society. More specifically, although women men average have same structure, meaning configuration different because macro-level factors, such as expectations, gender stereotypes, historical legacy, political propaganda, microlevel parental preferences, parent-child communication competition. To examine outcome, I conduct empirical studies. In first study, using data 2006 wave Health Nutrition Survey, children’s performance. results show sibship size, sex composition, birth order important predictors performance China.
