摘要: Abstract The reactivity and delivery of remediants treatment organic contaminants in heterogeneous aquifer are particularly challenging issues for injection-based remedial treatments. Our objective was to enhance the nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) improve sweeping efficiency nZVI into low permeable zones (LPZs) reduce nitrobenzene (NB). This accomplished by conducting batch transport experiments that quantified NB degradation different modified ability emulsified (EZVI) or xanthan carried EZVI (XG-EZVI) penetrate cover a lens. By incorporating oil with nZVI, it possessed higher stability stronger NB. Results showed improved xanthan, there were no adverse effects on removal use XG-EZVI at limited addition ≦100 mg L−1. injection 2D-tank experiments, 8 times added, while adsorption media only 1/50 initial 1205 mg totally entered tank, quality aniline effluent approximately 90.0 mg 40 h, but not detected presence EZVI. greater reduction resulted from LPZ. These observations support couple modifying as means achieving enhancing LPZs
