摘要: A hallmark feature of mitosis is the extinction bulk cellular transcription. The mechanism by which transcription abrogated likely linked to mitotic specific events such as chromosome condensation. Recent studies1,2 that probe structure genes can be reactivated rapidly after repression (early G1) suggest there are structural distortions in promoter regions these genes. These absent typically repressed or later phases cell cycle (late G1, S, G2). Such changes chromatin may create a transient window for factor binding and rapid reactivation subsequent cycle.
