摘要: This study aimed to assess body posture before and after bimaxillary orthognathic surgery by photogrammetry in skeletal class III patients. Thirty-one patients with dentofacial deformities (14 men, 17 women) who underwent orthodontic preparation for were included this non-randomized controlled trial. Of these, 15 did not undergo during the period of served as controls. Postural assessment was performed using SAPO® (Postural Assessment Software) based on anterior-, posterior-, lateral-view images taken 1 month 4 months internal rigid fixation (or initial assessment, control group). The approved PUCRS Research Ethics Committee, written informed consent obtained from all individual participants prior their inclusion study. There no significant difference between groups age, gender, GAP. In intervention group, right leg/hindfoot angle, which initially indicated a valgus deformity, normalized (P < 0.048). Posterior displacement head (P < 0.005) trunk (P < 0.004) observed intervention. These results suggest that correction can produce systemic postural adjustments, especially posterior knee ankle valgus.
