摘要: Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine importance capital adequacy requirements in Basel III framework for commercial banks KenyaMethodology: A descriptive survey design applied a population 43 operating Kenya. target composed 159 management staff currently employed at head offices various Senior, Middle and Junior or Entry level Management staff. sample 30% selected from within each group. Primary data gathered using questionnaires which were dropped off bank’s picked up later when respondents had filled questionnaires.Descriptive analysis used analyze quantitative while content analyse qualitative data.Results: concludes that requirement is perceived be important banks. thus deduces financial stability, credit risk management, reduced vulnerability liquidity shocks balance sheet structure deposit insurance affect In addition, concluded increases counterparty arising derivatives, repurchase agreements securities financing activities.Unique contribution theory, practice policy: recommends should ensure flexible expertise delivers speed, accuracy, performance deliver competitive advantage.
