摘要: Abstract Continuous efforts are made to reduce the lifecycle contribution of automotive sector in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, main greenhouse gas, focusing mainly on manufacturing and use phases Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) widely excepted as next technology paradigm due their significantly decreased emissions compared conventional gasoline or diesel Internal Combustion Engine (ICEVs) during use. In specific study, a Well-to-Wheel framework has been proposed compare ICEVs BEVs into air pollution, including entire process energy flow from extraction source up vehicle being driven. Moreover, owing direct link between consumption underestimation economy figures delivered vehicle’s testing New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) is considered. The in-use fuel/electricity was assessed based corresponding published type-approval values. Finally, simulation tests were conducted evaluate computed emission results.
