摘要: Abstract Results of a study on the influence operation scale and impeller speed high shear mixer granulators strength granlues are reported in this paper. Calcium carbonate particles have been granulated four scales geometrically similar granulator (Cyclomix) with 1, 5, 50 250 L capacities. For smallest scale, effect small deviation from geometric similarity was also investigated. An aqueous solution polyethylene glycol used as binder. Three scaling rules constant tip speed, stress Froude number to determine for different granulators. The granules produced these experiments dried tested using side crushing test method. data then analysed compared. Operation according rule produces all scales, followed by trend rule, albeit less extent. heterogeneous distribution is not suitable criterion scaling-up granule has fitted normal, log-normal Weibull distributions. fits well operations.
