摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect ventriculostomy on intracranial pressure (ICP), and related parameters, including cerebrospinal compensation, cerebral oxygenation (PbtO2) metabolism (microdialysis) in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Materials methods Twenty-four parenchymal ICP sensors were prospectively included study. Ventriculostomy performed after failure control initial measures. Monitoring parameters digitally recorded before compared using appropriate tests. Results In all led rapid reduction ICP. Pooled mean daily values remained Conclusion is a useful ICP-lowering manoeuvre, sustained physiological improvements achieved > 50% patients.
