摘要: In the last decade enormous effort has been made in research and investment to study magnetic properties of thin films because their obvious practical applications. Coincidentally, it happens that theory progress. Ab initio calculations microscopic theories allow us for first time history magnetism manipulate on an atomic scale. contrast bulk materials, ultrathin via thickness and, by use artificial structure growth, produce structures which do not appear nature. Here we discuss fundamental observables, i.e. magnetization, Curie temperature, moment per atom, susceptibility anisotropy, idealized prototype like Fe, Co, Ni metal substrates such as Cu, W, Re. Finally, present studies trilayers, separated a spacer, Cu. These trilayers prototypes interlayer coupling relevant multilayer structures.
