摘要: Cu nanoparticles (CuNPs) were impregnated in oil palm empty fruit bunch (EFB) fibers via the cationization process. The fiber surface modification by CuNPs has been verified Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray study. Mechanical properties measured tensile test analyzed Griffith Weibull models. 10 mm length EFB modified shows an increment characteristic strength (\( \sigma_{ 0} \)) modulus (Y 0) about 20 % compared to unmodified fiber, as assessed model. This improvement mechanical is associated with incorporation of fibers. Weak-link scaling model applied predict unknown fiber.
